What is BIOmega -3 Kids?
BIOmega-3 Kids is a fish oil preparation. Fish oils are the main dietary source of omega 3 essential fatty acids which contribute toward many biological functions in the human body. Omega 3 fatty acids are rich in the beneficial Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexanoic acid (DHA).
The habitat in which the fish grow has a major influence on the amount of fatty acids they contain. Fish eat plankton, which contain Omega 3. The colder the sea the higher the concentration of omega 3 the plankton will contain, so oily cold water fish such as salmon, tuna and mackerel have the highest levels of omega 3, and farmed fish contain lower levels.
Pharma Nord recommends 1-2 Capsules per day. In case of problems swallowing the capsule, it can be pierced and the contents taken with juice or in yoghurt.
